Joseph RR Templin, CLU, ChFC, CAP™
A highly successful member of the financial services industry, Joe Templin has invested the past two and a half decades to helping others reach their financial potential as a planner and mentor. He has served the profession as a member of NAIFA (the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors) on the local, state, and national level, and including three terms on the NAIFA National Young Advisors Team (YAT) Subcommittee and was honored as one of the 2011 4 Under 40. He is a graduate of the Leadership in Life Institute of NAIFA as well as Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and is an alum of Johns Hopkins University.
Templin has qualified numerous times for the Million Dollar Round Table and has won both the Holman Award and the Nemec Award from Northwestern. He was also a Top Ten Gish Qualifier and Top Ten College Unit Director. Joe consults as the Advanced Planning Specialist for ELEMENTAL FPG, Inc. and currently serves as President of The Intro Machine
Joe has written hundreds of articles, a half dozen highly successful books, and several white papers. He speaks all across the US and Canada on business ethics and performance psychology.
Joe passed his CFP(R) exam in 2002 and has written review questions for the exam, in addition to numerous CE classes. He is a frequent speaker at colleges and universities, focusing on Financial Mistakes of Young Americans. You can hear one of his talks here.
In his free time, Joe enjoys running Ragnars and is a champion-level martial artist. He is active with Cub Scouts and is the President of the Castle Alpha Tau Foundation of Pi Kappa Phi. He and his wife Ambre live in Ballston Spa, New York, with their boys Danny, Liam, and Colin who despite being hooligans are their parents’ pride and joy. They are huge Yankees fans, and Joe’s vitriol towards the Sawx is apparent.
